World Food Program Begging for Money to Feed The Hungry

That’s a sad sight. The UN program charged with alleviating hunger is desperately trying to raise enough funds to do the most basic triage-style feeding in Cambodia. It’s unlikely that it will succeed in accomplishing full funding, though some nations are coming up with one-time donations. More stories here, and here.

UPDATE: and here, where the National government has announced it will begin to provide 2,000 tons of rice to the World Food Program. Maybe it’s the old rice that they originally ‘lost?’
