Unearthly, Beautiful, Hariharalaya

Jayavarman II built his Angkorean-era capital, Hariharalaya, between the Mahendraparvata (The Mountain of the Great Lord [Indra]) and the Tonle Sap. I found this glorious satellite image here

Hariharalaya means “The Place of Harihara.” Harihara is the name of an Indic deity composed of Vishnu (Hari) and Shiva (Hara) into one being.
